A close friend of mine passed away yesterday. A very wonderful and inspirational person who seemed to touch the hearts of all that knew her. I’ll miss her terribly but feel so honoured to have met her and very privileged to have been able to call her my friend. This is in dedication to you, Rest in Piece Ali Bennett. We love you and will miss you more than words can ever hope to say!

Oi, back rub!
A familiar story on a Thursday night,
It helped you to not cough so much you’d tell me.
It was always a giggle.
Always eager to have a dance whenever you felt able, even if it was for just a small part of the song.
I remember our brief spin on the stage at the Olympic Torch Celebrations.
You were so happy to have had the chance to go on, even though you couldn’t manage the whole song.
You were out of breath, but girl you were smiling.
Camping in Birchwood, our everlasting walk.
You telling us all to go ahead and you’d catch us up, you think you’d of known better than that!
It took us a while but you made it.
A detour to try on some mad woollen hats.
The prize a nice pint of Cider!
Strong of mind, Okay bloody stubborn but not one to complain.
Big smile, cheeky grin, how could we not love you!
I remember you teaching beginners salsa with your partner in crime.
Always lots of laughing when you two got together.
In life you were a star, in death no doubt an angel.
Forever dancing in our hearts and never to be forgotten.
